Hayward HEATPRO 120K Heat Only | HP21205T heat pump utilizes ambient air to heat pool water efficiently.

• Air Intake and Compression: The heat pump draws in outside air using a fan. The air passes over a refrigerant coil where a refrigerant gas absorbs the heat from the air.
• Heat Transfer: The refrigerant, now warm, is compressed, increasing its temperature further.
• Heat Exchange: The hot refrigerant gas flows through a heat exchanger, transferring its heat to the pool water, and raising the water temperature as it circulates.
• Cooling and Recycling: The refrigerant cools down as it loses heat and turns into a liquid to repeat the process.
• Temperature Control: A thermostat monitors the pool’s water temperature, automatically turning the heat pump on or off to maintain the desired level of warmth.

This process is energy-efficient, using minimal electricity to move heat rather than generate it directly, making it a cost-effective solution for pool heating.
