Hayward KIT-EXP VLV (Expansion Valve) for a 6-ton capacity regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, for efficient operation of your heat pump system. 

• Monitors System Conditions: The expansion valve tracks refrigerant pressure and temperature from the condenser to the evaporator.
• Pressure Reduction: It reduces the refrigerant pressure, causing it to cool and expand. This is essential for preparing the refrigerant to absorb heat effectively.
• Flow Adjustment: The valve precisely controls the amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator coil, adjusting the system demand to maintain efficiency and prevent overheating or freezing.
• Supports Heat Exchange: As the low-pressure refrigerant passes through the evaporator, it absorbs heat from the air, enabling the heat pump to deliver the desired heating or cooling effect.
