Hayward TXV / Dryer - 10 Ton (HPX15024023) is a component in the refrigeration system of Hayward heat pumps, designed for 10-ton models. It combines two essential functions: regulating refrigerant flow and filtering moisture from the system.

• Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV):
  • The TXV controls the refrigerant for the evaporator coil based on the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the coil. It adjusts the flow rate to ensure the refrigerant is metered accurately, optimizing the heat pump’s performance and efficiency.
• Dryer Function:
  • The dryer filters moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant system, preventing damage to the compressor. It absorbs moisture from the refrigerant, which could otherwise lead to freezing, corrosion, or decreased efficiency.

• Dual Function: Combines a thermostatic expansion valve with a moisture-filtering dryer to improve system reliability and performance.
• Precision Control: Helps regulate refrigerant flow to maintain optimal pressure and temperature for the heat pump.
